Glass & Bach: twee grootse componisten als rode draad door een slagwerkprogramma gecombineerd met dans.
Niek KleinJan ziet het als zijn missie om slagwerkmuziek bij een breed publiek bekend te maken en heeft daarom ‘The Percussion Canon’ ontwikkeld. Hij zal voor u een aantal pareltjes uit het slagwerkrepertoire gaan spelen en laten zien op video. Muziek voor marimba van Glass en Bach is de basis in het concertprogramma.
Chris Kokkeel danst op muziek van Glass en Sakamoto.
Slagwerkmuziek afgewisseld met dans en programmatisch geweven in muziek van Glass en Bach: voor elk wat wils en gegarandeerd een muzikaal spektakel!
Chris Kokkeel danst op muziek van Philip Glass (Duet) en Ryuichi Sakamoto (Life life), een mooie combinatie met 'The Percussion Canon Live in Concert!'

Dutch National Opera & Ballet: Only the Sounds Remains – Saariaho
From the 22nd of February till the 29th of March Niek will play a brand new piece by Kaija Saariaho: Only the Sound Remains, with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. Percussion Concerto with the Nederlands Studenten Kamerorkest
Niek will be touring with the Nederlands Studenten Kamerorkest from the 10th till the 17th of April with a brand-new piece by Bram Kortekaas, named Balance of Power. A percussion concerto, commissioned by the Nesko and especially written for Niek. He will be playing in some major concert halls of Holland, from Groningen to Maastricht and Nijmegen to Amsterdam where the last concert will be in Muziekgebouw aan't IJ!
